NEW Releases December 4, 2015:
the seventh studio album from the multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning British band. A Head Full Of Dreams is the follow-up to their 2014 album Ghost Stories. The album was produced by Rik Simpson and Stargate. Coldplay began working on A Head Full of Dreams in the summer of 2014 while they were promoting their sixth album Ghost Stories. Revitalized, they’ve made an album that’s bursting with energy, color and big, life-affirming moments such as the deliciously ebullient first single ‘Adventure of a Lifetime’ and the rocket-powered ‘Hymn for the Weekend.’ Coldplay has never enjoyed making a record more than this one. Nor have they been happier with the results.
Original soundtrack to the 2015 feature film directed by Spike Lee and written by Lee and Kevin Willmott. Set in Chicago, the film is described as a satire and to have as a subject gang violence prevalent in some neighborhoods on the city’s south side, particularly, Englewood. The film is based on Lysistrata, a Greek comedy by Aristophanes, but Lee told Chicago magazine that he would not characterize it as a musical. Includes tracks by Nick Cannon, R. Kelly featuring Tink, Jennifer Hudson, The Bruce Hornsby Band featuring Eryn Allen Kane and Sasha Go Hard, Sophia Byrd, and others.
Deluxe two CD edition adds 12 tracks not included on the original release. Bonus tracks are a combination of live tracks, studio cuts and outtakes. Digitally remastered edition of this 1970 album by the Southern rock band. Idlewild South is the second studio album by The Allman Brothers Band. Produced by Tom Dowd, the album was released on September 23, 1970, in the United States by Atco Records and Capricorn Records. Following the release of their 1969 debut, the Allman Brothers Band toured the United States extensively to promote the album, which had little commercial success. Due mostly to the band’s relentless touring schedule, Idlewild South was recorded gradually over a period of five months in various cities, including New York, Miami, and Macon, Georgia, the band’s home. Tom Dowd had previously been arranged to record the group’s debut but was unavailable. The material presented on Idlewild South was written during this period and tested out on the road at shows. The album’s title comes from the band’s nickname for a ramshackle, remote cabin the band rented out and used for rehearsals, as well as wild parties. Idlewild South contains two of the band’s best-known songs, “Midnight Rider” and “In Memory of Elizabeth Reed”, which became one of the band’s famous concert numbers.
Bette Midler s A Gift Of Love includes 18 of her best love songs. This collection spotlights a number of incredibly poignant tracks, like her cover of Marshall Crenshaw’s “My Favorite Waste Of Time” from No Frills (1983); “Every Road Leads Back To You” from the soundtrack to her film For the Boys (1991); “Shining Star” from Bette (2000); plus five tracks from her platinum release Bette of Roses (1995), including “It’s Too Late” and “As Dreams Go By”. A Gift Of Love would not be complete without three of Midler s biggest hits: “The Rose” from the 1979 film of the same name in which Midler starred; the #1 Grammy-winning smash “Wind Beneath My Wings” from another Midler film, Beaches; and “From A Distance”, from her double-platinum album Some People s Lives (1990).
Live archive release by the country legend. In 1971, Johnny Cash was sitting on top of the world, riding a wave of hit singles that had topped the country charts, winning a Grammy Award with wife and duet partner June Carter Cash for their rendition of “If I Was a Carpenter,” and, since 1969, hosting a weekly music-variety program on network TV. Originally recorded for Danish television, this release spotlights Cash backed by his airtight backup band, The Tennessee Three, along with duets with June Carter Cash; appearances from Mother Maybelle Carter and her daughters Anita and Helen, Carl Perkins (of “Blue Suede Shoes” immortality) and The Statler Brothers, much loved for their off-the-wall humor and homespun four-part harmonies. Also included in this spirited set are early hits from the 1950s, including “I Walk the Line” and “Guess Things Happen That Way”; unforgettable tunes penned by Kris Kristofferson (“Sunday Mornin’ Comin’ Down,” “Me and Bobby McGee”); the comical crossover pop hit “A Boy Named Sue”; and Cash’s then-recent hit “Man in Black,” which introduced Cash’s infamous alter ego who stood up for underdogs everywhere. The stirring gospel finale of “Children, Go Where I Send Thee,” featuring Cash and all his guest performers, is the perfect ending to a most ebullient performance by one and all.
Adrenalin Baby was recorded primarily at his Brixton Academy and Manchester Apollo shows during Johnny’s ‘Playland’ tour in support of his Top 10 solo albums ‘The Messenger’ and ‘Playland’. In addition to material from his solo albums, ‘Adrenalin Baby’ also features takes on The Smiths’ classics ‘The Headmaster Ritual’, ‘Bigmouth Strikes Again’, ‘There Is A Light That Never Goes Out’ and ‘How Soon Is Now?’. The collection is completed by Electronic’s ‘Getting Away With It’ and Johnny’s interpretation of ‘I Fought The Law’.
Three CD edition. Digitally remastered and expanded edition of the classic 1979 album by Fleetwood Mac. Includes the remastered original album, an alternate version of the complete album made up of session outtakes, most of which have never been released, as well as an additional selection of singles, demos and remixes, including an outtake of the Top 20 hit “Think About Me,” an early version of “That’s Enough For Me” called “Out On The Road,” plus several incarnations of “I Know I’m Not Wrong.” The follow-up to the hit album Rumours, Tusk is considered experimental, primarily due to Lindsey Buckingham’s sparser songwriting arrangements and the influence of punk rock and new wave on his production techniques. Bassist John McVie has commented that the album sounds like “the work of three solo artists” (Buckingham, Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie), whilst Mick Fleetwood later proclaimed that it is his favorite and the best Fleetwood Mac studio album created by the group. Costing over $1 million to record (a fact widely noted in the 1979 press), it was the most expensive rock album made up to that point.
Three CD anthology. The Complete Them 1964-1967 is the most thorough collection of Van Morrison’s early studio and live performances ever assembled. It includes all material recorded for the first two Them albums – The Angry Young Them (1965) and Them Again (1966)- in addition to singles, demos, live sessions, alternate takes and rarities, many of them long unavailable or previously unreleased. All tracks have been newly remastered for this collection and the package includes a 16-page booklet featuring an insightful new commentary on Them provided by Van Morrison.

from the lovable indie pop duo, their long awaited return to children’s music. What kind of album is Why? Well, it’s not bad for you but it’s not good for you either. It’s just about fun, like TMBG’s first kids album No! Why? is memorable songs in family-friendly package with none of that pandering aftertaste. Right out of the gate TMBG hits the listener with the odd brilliance of “Oh You Did” through the folkie charm of “Out of A Tree,” the full rocking of “Or So I Have Read” the perky “I Just Want to Dance,” and wrapping things up with the optimism of “Then The Kids Took Over.” Why? has everything to delight both kids and parents.
from the metal/punk band fronted by vocalist Glenn Danzig, best known for his work with the Misfits and Samhain. Skeletons is an album of cover versions with Danzig’s unique take on songs originally performed by artists ranging from Elvis Presley to Black Sabbath. The album’s first single is the theme from the biker film “Devil’s Angels”. ‘My attitude with covers is, make it your own or else leave it alone.’ – Glenn Danzig.

The album contains highlights from the group’s albums, non-album singles, and some rarities. Mogwai are a post-rock band. They formed in 1995 in Glasgow. The band typically compose lengthy guitar-based instrumental pieces that feature dynamic contrast, melodic bass guitar lines, and heavy use of distortion and effects.
two CD set. The mystery of just who was behind those freewheeling tunes that kept the crowds groovin’ during Fare Thee Well’s intermissions has been revealed! Circles Around the Sun, a band convened by guitarist Neal Casal, formed specifically to record just for the shows and the results were so captivating, and the audience response so overwhelmingly positive, we decided to give the music a proper release.
Björk presents a strings version of her highly-acclaimed eighth studio studio album Vulnicura, officially titled Vulnicura Strings. The original version of Vulnicura layered the boom and crack of electronic beats with an intense vocal melody and incredible string arrangements by Björk which have been performed live with a fifteen chair orchestra. The new version is musically wholly comprised of strings, with new violin solos by Una Sveinbjarnardóttir and strings recorded by a Viola Organista. Björk used the only Viola Organista in the world to perform some of the arrangements; an instrument which was designed originally by Leonardo Da Vinci but not built until after his lifetime. The instrument uses a friction belt to vibrate individual strings (similar to a violin), with the strings selected by pressing keys on the keyboard (similar to an organ). The instrument was recorded in Krakow, Poland by it’s constructor Sławomir Zubrzycki and here is where the album reached completion.
Dweezil Zappa has returned to his musical roots with his new CD release Via Zammata’. Fusing analog tape and tube guitar amps alongside surprising instruments such as fretless guitar and the oud, Zappa draws you into his intimate, and multifarious musical world. Armed with unexpected vocal arrangements that sound like the Beach Boys procreated with the Bulgarian Women’s choir, this collection of 12 uniquely orchestrated songs represents a true metamorphosis for Dweezil Zappa the solo artist. The album was produced and arranged by Dweezil Zappa and features songwriting collaborations with Frank Zappa and John Malkovich.
