Jeff Tweedy: Together at Last

Together At Last features the Wilco bandleader performing eleven of his own songs, culled from the Wilco catalog as well as from side-projects Loose Fur and Golden Smog, in a solo acoustic setting. Recorded at Tweedy’s Chicago recording studio The Loft, Together At Last showcases Tweedy’s accomplished and intricate guitar playing and his expressive, plaintive voice, and while audiences have experienced Tweedy live onstage as a solo performer for years, this is the first studio recording of it’s kind for the acclaimed musician.

311: Mosaic
the 12th studio album from the Omaha, Nebraska-based rockers. The 17-song Mosaic was produced by John Feldmann (Blink-182, Panic! At The Disco, etc.) and Scotch Ralston (who produced 311’s iconic Transistor, Soundsystem and Stereolithic albums). With Mosaic, 311 are approaching their 10th consecutive Top 10 album debut on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart. To date, 311 has released eleven studio albums, two live albums, four compilation albums, four EPs and four DVDs. After a series of independent releases, 311 was signed to Capricorn Records in 1992 and released the albums Music (1993) and Grassroots (1994) to moderate success. They achieved greater success with their 1995 triple platinum self-titled album, which reached #12 on the Billboard 200. The band’s next three albums-Transistor (1997), Soundsystem (1999) and From Chaos (2001)-were also successful, with the first going platinum and the last two going gold. Their 2004 compilation album Greatest Hits ’93-’03 was also certified gold. As of 2011, 311 has sold over 8.5 million records in the United States.

Joe Bonamassa: LIVE @ Carnegie Hall Acoustic
Two CD live release. On January 21st and 22nd of 2016, world-renowned platinum-selling and Grammy nominated blues-rock singer-songwriter and guitarist Joe Bonamassa performed two unique all-acoustic shows at the iconic Carnegie Hall in New York City. Both performances were filmed and made into Joe Bonamassa Live At Carnegie Hall – An Acoustic Evening. An evening of extraordinary music with new arrangements of favorite songs as well as brand new, never-before-heard songs all housed in this deluxe set. The concert was part of a special all-acoustic tour and featured an all-star ensemble of world-class musicians. Acclaimed Chinese cellist and erhuist Tina Guo, whose repertoire stretches from classical to heavy metal; and Hossam Ramzy, the Egyptian percussionist and composer, who has performed on dozens of film soundtracks and records, including on Jimmy Page and Robert Plant s No Quarter: Unledded Tour. Reese Wynans (piano), Anton Fig (Drums) Eric Bazilian (mandolin, hurdy-gurdy, saxophone, acoustic guitar, vocals), and three Australian backing vocalists, Mahalia Barnes, Juanita Tippins, and Gary Pinto round out the band. Everyone knows the old saying about how to get to Carnegie Hall, but Bonamassa has truly lived that advice. His entire life and musical career had been practice for this moment, and a young blues-boy finally made good on a childhood dream of playing one of the most hallowed stages in the world. This stripped down, all-acoustic show allowed his fans a glimpse into his soul and presented a thrilling and musically dangerous spectacle akin to walking a tightrope without a net.

The Deslondes: Hurry Home
The Deslondes (Dez Lawn) are a five-piece band from New Orleans. In the time between the release of their self-titled debut and new sophomore album, Hurry Home, The Deslondes have toured the world and drawn critical acclaim for their studied and inventive take on New Orleans country and R&B. Hurry Home represents a sonic shift from the countryfolk of their debut to a sometimes-psychedelic, electrified gospel-soul sound, with a stronger emphasis on organ and electric guitar. The band split up songwriting and lead vocal duties among it’s five members, continuing it’s democratic ethos and musical versatility. The sound may continue to draw comparisons to the country-funkiness of The Band, but The Deslondes were equally inspired by the sound of early Sun Records, the punchy rock and roll of VU-era Velvet Underground and the experimental pop of Joe Meek. Perhaps most importantly, Hurry Home is the sound of a band that understands the history of American music, but is deftly finding their own contemporary approach.

Imagine Dragons: Evolve
third album from the multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning band. Evolve is the band’s follow-up to their second studio album, Smoke + Mirrors. In comparison to Night Visions and Smoke + Mirrors, front man Dan Reynolds explained that the album will be an ‘evolution for Imagine Dragons’. Imagine Dragons is a band from Las Vegas, Nevada, consisting of lead vocalist Dan Reynolds, lead guitarist Wayne Sermon, bassist Ben McKee, and drummer Daniel Platzman. The band first gained exposure in 2012 with the releases of their debut studio album Night Visions. Imagine Dragons has won two American Music Awards for Favorite Alternative Artist, a Grammy Award for Best Rock Performance, five Billboard Music Awards, and a World Music Award.

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard: Murder of the Universe
A concept album to end all concepts, Murder Of The Universe is the new collection by head-bending psychedelicists King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. Murder Of The Universe is a face-melting musical assault concerned with the downfall of man, the death of the planet… The murder of the whole goddamn universe. A disorientating experience, the album hinges on three distinct chapters that rise from larval beds, and whose lyrics should be carved in stone, squeezed from moss, discovered in ancient runes. And all the while a passing cast of characters imbue the tale with both human and non-human emotions.

Vince Staples: Big Fish Theory
the second album from the Long Beach-based rapper. He is part of the hip hop trio Cutthroat Boyz alongside fellow Californian rappers A$ton Matthews and Joey Fatts. Staples was once a close associate of Odd Future, in particular Mike G and Earl Sweatshirt. Staples rose to prominence with appearances on albums by Odd Future members and his collaborative mixtape titled Stolen Youth with Mac Miller, who produced the project.

Yonder Mountain String Band: Love Ain’t Love
Contains a cover of “Dancing In The Moonlight”…

Prince: Purple Rain (Expanded)
Expanded three CD + DVD edition. Purple Rain remains one of history’s most important, indisputable, and influential albums, but you’ve never heard it like this before. This Expanded Edition is a true collector’s item and the ultimate vision of Purple Rain. In addition to the 2015 Paisley Park Remaster and From The Vault & Previously Unreleased, it includes Single Edits & B-Sides and a never-seen on DVD of Prince and The Revolution Live In 1985.

NEW RELEASES June 16, 2017:

Steve Earle: So You Wannabe an Outlaw
New release from musician, songwriter, actor and author Steve Earle and his country rock band The Dukes. So You Wannabe an Outlaw, Earle’s first album for Warner Bros. Records since 1997’s El Corazón, explores his country songwriting roots and features collaborations with Willie Nelson, Johnny Bush, and Miranda Lambert. So You Wannabe an Outlaw is an homage to outlaw music and is dedicated to the late Waylon Jennings. “I was out to unapologetically ‘channel’ Waylon as best as I could.” Earle says. “This record was all about me playing’ on the back pick-up of a ’66 Fender Telecaster on an entire record for the first time in my life. The vocal part of it is a little different. I certainly don’t sound like Waylon Jennings. I moved to Nashville in November of 1974, and right after that Willie Nelson’s Red Headed Stranger came out. I was around when Waylon was recording Dreaming My Dreams. Guitar Town (Earle’s 1986 chart-topping, Grammy Award-winning debut album) wound up being kind of my version of those types of songs,” Earle recalls. Earle is backed on So You Wannabe an Outlaw by his long-time band The Dukes – guitarist Chris Masterson, fiddle player Eleanor Whitmore, bassist Kelly Looney, and new members drummer Brad Pemberton and pedal steel player Ricky Ray Jackson. The album was produced by Richard Bennett and recorded at Arlyn Studios in Austin.

Jason Isbell: The Nashville Sound
from the Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, guitarist Jason Isbell and his mighty band, The 400 Unit. The Nashville Sound is the follow up to 2015’s critically acclaimed Something More Than Free, which won two Grammy Awards (Best Americana Album and Best American Roots Song, “24 Frames”) and two Americana Music Association Awards (Album of the Year and Song of The Year, “24 Frames”). Without exaggeration, Jason Isbell has become one the most respected and celebrated songwriters of his generation. He possesses an incredible penchant for identifying and articulating some of the deepest, yet simplest, human emotions, and turning them into beautiful poetry through song. “There’s no better songwriter on the planet at this moment, no one operating with the same depth, eloquence or feeling,” says American Songwriter Magazine. Isbell sings of the everyday human condition with thoughtful, heartfelt, and sometimes brutal honesty, and the new album is no exception.

Fleet Foxes: Crack-Up
the long-awaited and highly anticipated third album from Fleet Foxes. Crack-Up comes six years after the 2011 release of Helplessness Blues and nearly a decade since the band’s 2008 self-titled debut. All eleven of the songs on Crack-Up were written by Robin Pecknold. The album was co-produced by Pecknold and Skyler Skjelset, his longtime bandmate, collaborator, and childhood friend. Crack-Up was recorded at various locations across the United States between July 2016 and January 2017: at Electric Lady Studios, Sear Sound, The Void, Rare Book Room, Avast, and The Unknown. Phil Ek mixed the album, at Sear Sound, and it was mastered by Greg Calbi at Sterling Sound.

Royal Blood: How Did We Get So Dark?
The ten tracks that are featured on How Did We Get So Dark? were written in instrumental form during sessions in Brighton, Los Angeles and Nashville. Always trying to explore ways of stripping their enormous sound back to give it more space and impact, inspiration for the lyrics came from events in vocalist/bassist Mike Kerr’s life since the band first found huge success. While the album finds Royal Blood refining their melodic might, there are other moments that fulfil their aim to create songs that will add new dimensions to their live sets. Adorned with Kerr’s falsetto, ‘Don’t Tell’ drops the intensity to mesmerizing effect, while ‘Where Are You Now?’ pulsates with a bounding energy that’s quite a step apart from anything else in their catalogue. The Royal Blood palette is also expanded with the inclusion of harmony vocals – something that they didn’t use on their debut.

Cheap Trick: We’re Alright!
Cheap Trick is an indisputable American institution, beloved around the globe since 1974 for their instantly identifiable and hugely influential brand of pop rock ‘n’ roll. Recording for four decades, We’re All Alright! Marks the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inductees 18th studio album. Having an excess of 20 million sales and more than 40 gold and platinum certifications for their multi-award winning catalog, this quartet continues their reign as the top progenitors of power pop.

Van’s 2017 Warped Tour Compilation: 2 CD set

Portugal The Man: Woodstock
the eighth studio album from the Wasilla, Alaska -based alt-rock band. “We worked with so many rad people on this album, but ended up with just the four of us in a basement at 4am trying to say something that mattered. Trying to write music that would help people feel they’re not alone, even if they’re angry or feeling lost.” – John Gourley, lead singer. Portugal. The Man was originally started as John Gourley’s side project (he was previously with Anatomy Of A Ghost) with Zachary Carothers playing bass. Before they had a drummer, they used drum machines and synth-loops as the backing beat.

Jim Gaffigan: Cinco
In Cinco, Gaffigan explores why cable news anchors have to be so attractive, the pointlessness of hiking, and America’s fascination with pickup trucks. This is the fifth stand up special from Grammy nominated Gaffigan. His first four specials include Beyond the Pale -2006, King Baby -2009, Mr. Universe -2012 and Obsessed -2014. Obsessed premiered at #1 on iTunes which marked the fifth time Gaffigan reached the Top 25 Comedy category on iTunes. The album also earned a nomination for ‘Best Comedy Album of the Year’ at the 2015 Grammy Awards.

Ride: Weather Diaries
Ride’s first album in over twenty years, Weather Diaries, will be released June 16th via Wichita Recordings. The album was produced by legendary DJ, producer and remixer Erol Alkan, and is packed with all the classic elements that made Ride one of the defining bands of the early ’90s. Trembling distortion, beautiful harmonies, pounding rhythms, shimmering soundscapes and great songwriting all combine to make an album that’s ambitious in scope, timeless and thoroughly addictive. The album will be released through Wichita Recordings and sees the band reunited with label co-founders Mark Bowen and Dick Green, who worked with Ride during the band’s early years on Creation Records. It also brings the band back together with mixer Alan Moulder (Arctic Monkeys, Smashing Pumpkins, The Killers) who mixed their seminal 1990 album ‘Nowhere’ and produced it’s follow up ‘Going Blank Again.’

Big Bad Voodoo Daddy: Louie Louie Louie
Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, the incomparable kings of swing, announce Louie! Louie! Louie!, an electrifying celebration of jazz legends Louie Armstrong, Louie Jordan and Louie Prima. On their 11th album and third for iconic label Savoy Jazz, the band is sharper than ever as they pay homage to their jazz heroes. Produced by founder and lead singer Scotty Morris, the album reveals the evolution of swing, jazz and popular music through the songs and personalities of these three giants of American culture. Big Bad Voodoo Daddy first found fame in the ’90s during the long-overdue Louis Prima revival that suddenly brought swing bands from coast to coast to greater prominence. But Big Bad Voodoo Daddy was always among the best of the lot with a really tight band that could jump, jive and wail just like their many musical heroes.

Big Boi: Boomiverse
solo release from on-half of Atlanta’s legendary hip hop duo Outkast. Boomiverse is his first solo album since Vicious Lies And Dangerous Rumors in 2012. The album includes the singles “Kill Jill” plus “Mic Jack,” featuring Adam Levine of Maroon 5. The album also features appearances from Killer Mike, Jeezy and others.

Relaxer is the follow up to the band’s Grammy nominated album This Is All Yours, and finds the band working with producer Charlie Andrew for the third time. Time Magazine put U2 on it’s cover in April 1987, proclaiming them “Rock’s Hottest Ticket” and the 12 months that followed saw U2 create iconic moments including the traffic-stopping Grammy Award-winning “Where The Streets Have No Name” video on the roof of a Los Angeles liquor store, and go on to win a BRIT Award and two Grammys – including Album of the Year – their first of 22 received to date; as well as a triumphant return home for four unforgettable shows in Belfast, Dublin and Cork in the summer of 1987.

Dan Auerbach: Waiting on a Song
the second solo album from the artist best known as one-half of The Black Keys. The album is the nine-time Grammy-winner’s follow-up to 2009’s Keep It Hid and is a love letter to Nashville. As such, he recruited some of Nashville’s most respected players to write and record his latest, including John Prine, Duane Eddy, Jerry Douglas, Pat McLaughlin and Bobby Wood and Gene Chrisman of the Memphis Boys. Dan Auerbach moved to Nashville from his native Akron, Ohio in 2010 and with this release, his first solo album in eight years, it is clear that he has made Music City his home. During the summer of 2016, taking a break from the non-stop touring he’d done with The Black Keys and the Arcs, he finally got acquainted with the city he loves so much, as well as the world-class musicians who live there, and subsequently collaborated with some of Nashville’s heavyweights. Auerbach wrote seven songs with John Prine, one of which is the title track of the album. Mark Knopfler’s immediately identifiable guitar elevates “Shine on Me” into an anthem. Iconic guitarist Duane Eddy is featured on “Livin’ In Sin” and the cinematic “King of a One Horse Town.”

It’s a record about self-exploration, about learning to love yourself and opening yourself up to love others, about choosing the kind of person you want to be, about confronting death and appreciating life. Really it’s about trying to take control from the perspective of someone who has come very close on several occasions to losing ALL control.’ – Benjamin Booker.

Mozzy:Dreadlocks & Headshots
one of the most anticipated projects of the year for the fan of real gangster street music. Cut from the same cloth, we have two of the most respected and credible gangster rappers coming together to represent both the East and West Coast which has not been done since 50 Cent and The Game. Hailing from Sacramento, Mozzy has taken on the internet and social media by storm, and is arguably one of the hottest independent rappers in the current marketplace. MMG’s Gunplay bring us the East Coast/Miami vibe while being associated with Rick Ross.
