Dave Matthews Band: Come Tomorrow
Come Tomorrow is the ninth studio album by Dave Matthews Band. The album is their first since 2012’s Away from the World. Working between tours at studios in Seattle, Los Angeles and Charlottesville, Dave Matthews Band chose to record with several different producers, including John Alagia, Mark Batson, Rob Cavallo and Rob Evans. Dave Matthews Band was formed in Charlottesville, Virginia in 1991.
Grammy Award-winning pair Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush are refreshing their musical visions while staying true to an authentic sound and emotive songwriting that has made Sugarland ubiquitous with country music duos. The Georgia natives released their first new music in seven years with “Still The Same” setting the tone for their joint venture with Big Machine Records and UMG Nashville.
Lykke Li: So Sad So Sexy
So Sad So Sexy is the fourth studio album by Swedish musician. Includes the singles “Hard Rain” and “Deep End”. Lykke LI is a Swedish singer, songwriter and model. Her music often blends elements of indie pop, dream pop and electronica. LI possesses the vocal range of a soprano.
Lily Allen: No Shame
No Shame is Lily Allen’s most personal, insightful and fully-formed record to date. It includes lead song “Trigger Bang” featuring Giggs, which The Guardian describes as, “a return to the melancholic pop that made her so intriguing.” Working with collaborators Fryars, Mark Ronson, Vampire Weekend’s Ezra Koenig, Burna Boy, P2J and Cass Lowe to create No Shame, Lily says her goal was to make an album that is “as truthful as possible.” Speaking about the sense of catharsis that came with making the album, she says, “I believe that we as humans work through things by talking about them, and that’s what making music is for me. It’s sharing things that you hope are going to connect with people, not that are going to connect with algorithms.”
Eric Clapton: Life in 12 Bars
Original soundtrack to the Eric Clapton documentary Life In 12 Bars, directed by Oscar-winner Lili Fini Zanuck. The documentary about the legendary 18-time Grammy winner premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival before Showtime bought the US TV rights. The 32-track double CD features four previously unreleased songs, and includes tracks by Clapton, Yardbirds, Derek & the Dominoes, Cream, John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers, Blind Faith, The Beatles, Aretha Franklin and Muddy Waters.
Shannon: In Nashville
Shannon Shaw, the captivating vocalist, bassist, and founder of Shannon & the Clams, strikes out on her own for her first solo album, Shannon In Nashville. Produced by The Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach at his Nashville studio, Easy Eye Sound, the album features a cast of revered old-school session musicians which have breathed life into notable records by Elvis Presley, Aretha Franklin, Willie Nelson, and John Prine, to name just a few. The album evokes the tear-jerking intonations of Brenda Lee and Patsy Cline and exudes a self-possessed melancholy that sets the scene for Shaw to comb through a personal history of love lost to time, circumstance, fear or neglect.
Christina Aguilera: Liberation
the eighth studio album by pop/R&B vocalist Christina Aguilera. Liberation is Aguilera’s first album in six years, following Lotus (2012). Liberation finds her having her way with R&B and hip-hop (Kanye West produced two tracks). Christina’s soulful singing dominates the proceedings, and she co-wrote a lot of this: “Accelerate,” “Maria,” “Liberation,” “Sick of Sittin’,” “Masochist” and more! The first single “Accelerate” features Ty Dolla $ign and 2 Chainz. The album’s second single “Fall in Line” features Pop vocalist Demi Lovato.
Buddy Guy: The Blues is Alive and Well
the first album in three years from the blues legend. The fruitful partnership of blues legend Buddy Guy and Grammy-winning producer Tom Hambridge continues on this album-and they had a little help from their friends, too. Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Jeff Beck and James Bay join them here-though, as always, it’s Buddy’s guitar heroics, vocal power and commanding charisma that magnetize most. Includes “A Few Good Years,” “Guilty As Charged,” “Cognac,” “Bad Day,” “You Did the Crime” and more. This album is the first from Guy, 81, since 2015’s Born to Play Guitar.
Mike Shinoda: Post Traumatic
In the months since the passing of Linkin Park vocalist Chester Bennington, Shinoda has immersed himself in art as a way of processing his grief. With no agenda, Shinoda hunkered down alone in his Los Angeles home and began writing, recording, and painting. In January, he released the Post Traumatic EP consisting of three deeply personal songs – each one a powerful, stream-of-consciousness expression of unvarnished grief – accompanied by homemade visuals that Shinoda filmed, painted and edited himself. The response was overwhelmingly positive, with New York Times stating “The tracks are reverberant electronic dirges; the rhymes, heading into sung choruses, testify to bewilderment, mourning, resentment, self-pity and questions about what to do.” Following the EP release, Shinoda continued to create, and the result is Post Traumatic, a transparent and intensely personal album that, despite it’s title, isn’t entirely about grief, though it does start there. “It’s a journey out of grief and darkness, not into grief and darkness,” Shinoda says. Ultimately, Post Traumatic is an album about healing. The songs, though specific about Shinoda’s experience with loss, manage to be universally relatable, thanks to their honesty and heart. “If people have been through something similar, I hope they feel less alone,” he says. “If they haven’t been through this, I hope they feel grateful.”
Sometimes the catalyst for creating great art is simply being in the right place at the right time. For Arthur Buck, the new collaboration between singer-songwriter Joseph Arthur and guitarist Peter Buck, that place was Mexico, and that time was the fall of 2017. Specifically, a little town off the Baja coast named Todos Santos, with the Sierra de la Laguna mountains to the east and the bright blue Pacific stretching out infinitely to the west. It is here that Buck has held the Todos Santos Music Festival for the last several years, which he created in 2012 with his wife, Chloe Johnson, shortly after R.E.M. called it a day. Among the many artists who have played the festival is Joseph Arthur, who also happened to leave behind a guitar-a Dobro, specifically-after his last appearance there. And so last year he made the trek down to Todos Santos to pick up the instrument. Which is where he ran into Peter Buck.

There is desperation and urgency in Fantastic Negrito’s new album Please Don’t Be Dead. The record sees the Devil around the corner, and each song is a plea to make you aware of what’s waiting for you. The artist is screaming at you because he knows what comes next. The album art features a real life photograph of Fantastic Negrito waking up from a three week coma. His body is shattered, his eyes are staring past you. They’re staring at the darkness that awaits. But with his new album we hear the voice of an artist who put that darkness in the rearview. Now he’s asking America to do the same.
Olivia Chaney: Shelter
London-based singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Olivia Chaney, following a long period of life on the road, returned to a family retreat, a rustic, 18th-century cottage in the hills of the North Yorkshire Moors, to write the songs of Shelter. Produced by Thomas Bartlett, the album features eight original songs, plus Chaney’s interpretations of Purcell’s “O Solitude” and Frank Harford and Tex Ritter’s “Long Time Gone,” first recorded by the Everly Brothers. Olivia Chaney’s debut solo album, The Longest River, was released on Nonesuch Records in 2015. This release, which The Guardian hailed as “an enchanting and stately creation”, was noted in a number of Best of 2015 lists (including Uncut, Mojo and PopMatters). The Independent featured it in their Top 5 Albums of the Year, calling it “a landmark release”.
